ULVERSTONE'S antique stores offer a little retail therapy and its History Museum a fascinating insight into this town's ancestors. Those more inclined to live for the moment will love the bright blue waters of Buttons Beach and the range of riverside activities on offer, from sand-biking to water sliding. Nearby, GUNNS PLAINS is a lush valley offering both local wines and produce. Beneath the green surface are more than 50 caves and sinkholes. Daily guided tours (40 minutes) are available at Gunns Plains Cave State Reserve and highly recommended for all ages.
