Port Sorell & Latrobe

PORT SORELL is a waterside playground a short drive east of Devonport. Year-round, locals can be found windsurfing, fishing, swimming, building rowboats and basking on beaches. It is also the eastern gateway to Narawntapu National Park, a favorite destination for visitors wanting to see wombats, Forester kangaroos, Bennetts wallabies and pademelons up close and personal in their native habitat.

LATROBE is one of Tasmania's most beautiful historic towns, known for its Victorian and colonial architecture. Once the site of Tasmania's second largest port, Latrobe has history on display - antiques stores are a feature, and more than eighty of the town's buildings are National Trust registered.
